High Performance Digital Force Gauges
High performance force gauges are a good choice when highly accurate measurements are required and/or special features or high sample rates are needed. All of the gauges in this class will measure compression, tension, compression peak, tension peak, average over time of force thresholds, store data, access features via menu system, invert display function for easy reading in various orientations, set point alarms, and electronic data output. These gauges may also perform statistical analysis, have a programmable arithmatic operator, back lit displays, programmable peak sampling rates, as well as key lock out and password features. |

Intermediate Digital Force Gauges
Intermediate digital force gauges are a good choice when accurate measurements are required. In addition to compression, tension, compression peak, and tension peak measurements, many of the models in this class may have the capability to store data and have pass/fail alarms that can be set. Some may have an averaging function and statistical analysis of force data collected. Gauges in this class may or may not have electronic data output. The displays can be electronically or mechanically inverted, providing easy reading of the display in various orientations. Generally, there is a menu system enabling access to the various gauge functions. There is a wide range of selectable units and these gauges include rechargeable batteries and a plug in charger. |

Basic Digital Force Gauges
Basic force gauges are an economical choice for force measuring where high accuracy is not required. The accuracy of this class of gauge is acceptable for many force measurements and is limited to measuring compression, tension , compression peak, and tension peak only. Mechanical gauges are included on this class. Units are selectable (except for mechanical gauges), although somewhat limited. The digital gauges may be powered by an internal non rechargeable battery and a plug in battery eliminator or include a rechargeable battery and charger. With the exception of the Mark-10 Series 3 and Mecmesin CFG series, there is no provision for electronic data output. Mechanical gauges are not recommended for pull break tests |
